Light Cast MediaSTREAM supports FLV files. There are several great programs that can encode your video files into flv format. Here are a few that you can check out and see if you like.

*MediaCoder?
MediaCoder? is a FREE, general-purpose audio/video batch transcoder (converter) software, which supports a wide range of audio, video and container formats and provides a rich set of adjustable parameters. We recommend MediaCoder? for transcoding your media files into .FLV files.

Step By Step Transcoding Made Simple

1) Download MediaCoder? and Install

2) Run Program

3) Click File, Add File, Select your input file

4) Click File, Set Output FIle, name your file and the output location. While doing this, make sure that you click on your file and it is highlighted.

5) Click File, Load a Preset, (Select Good, Better, Best Preset)

6) Click Start, wait for process to complete

*FFMpeg
FFMpeg is for the more advanced and technical folks. FFMpeg is a command line tool that works great, but is not for the average user.
FFMpeg is great, but you are on your own!
